THE LAGOS INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR
The Lagos International Trade Fair Complex Management Board (LITFCMB) is a Federal Government Parastatal operating under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment. Established under the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex Management Board Act of 1993, Cap L2 (Trade Fair Act) Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 1990, LITFCMB is entrusted with the management of the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex (LITFC) among its many mandates.
Strategically located along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex spans over 300 hectares of land and draws an estimated 2 million visitors daily. With over 30,000 businesses operating within its grounds, LITFC is a thriving hub of economic activity. The complex has consistently contributed to Nigeria’s economic growth by facilitating business interactions, attracting investments, and creating opportunities for local and international enterprises.
LITFC’s extensive infrastructure and prime location make it the preferred destination for businesses seeking to establish a strong presence in the region. FIRST LAGOS INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR OPENS 1977
The first Lagos International Trade Fair opened on Sunday (27 November) with strong Western representation and healthy world interest. The Nigerians hope it will promote their country’s export trade and attract investors. Development of the site will continue after the Fair ends on December the 11th to become a permanent exhibition area, with hotel and leisure facilities.
The vast trade fair complex has cost an estimated 180 million U.S. dollars and will make Lagos the showcase for the Economic Community of West African States. The President of Nigeria’s Supreme Military Council, General olusegun Obasanjo opened the Fair.
